I been out fishing pretty much every day since 2 weeks back with two friends. But only fishing from land. So we have been talking about getting a boat to fish from and this is what we ended up with a Lohi 450 rt with a old 2 stroker but very smooth running and silent 60hp. I'm pretty stoked and we got it for a great price (about 4000$) with trailer, Now we just need to make it shine abit before we catch the monster pikes ...

Hey there. Seems like it's getting quite usual to me going camping lately, so a friend of mine, who's also a botanist, got interested in camping knives in order to accomplish any of his tasks (which can either be cutting mushrooms and plants or chopping down little trees). So he is looking for a nice sharp and thick knife. Also not too expensive, which means (I guess) not over 50 euros/dollars. I'm not the best at camping knives as I'm mainly a kitchen knife user. Do you know any good and...

I'd like to share some pictures from the guys trip to Michigan back in September. Another friend of mine has lots of family in Michigan and one of his cousins supplied all the weaponry. Everything from .22 rifles to Glock 17, 5.56 rifle, 12ga shotgun, .45acp,....several others I can't remember.

I have been hooked on firearms since that day. It was thrilling!
I grew up and still use solely a sleeping bag to keep me warm, but as I get a bit older I'm finding myself tossing and turning and waking in the morning with an achy back. I've tried out some of the cots available at Gander Mountain and elsewhere and they are luxurious but bulky. Will a sleeping mat/pad under my bag help with the sore back in the mornings?
It isn't killing me just yet - After a quick walk...
I just bought a cheap hammock from Woot that's reputable as a decent bare bones beginner hammock (IE try it out without having to spend too much).

Any tips or must-have accessories to make it more enjoyable? I love cold weather camping in my tent. Is it possible / advisable to do this in a hammock?

It gets here on Thursday and if the weather cooperates, I'm going to take it out on...
Luckily for me, she appreciates the value of buying decent gear. Earlier tonight she said, "I can use your old reel until I decide if I really like fly fishing, and you can get...
It's been used as a garden knife for the last 40 or 50 years. It's an antique Remington RH 320 with a stag bone handle. I don't want to start working on it without consulting with you experienced gentlemen first. My main question is what is the best thing for cleaning/treating the bone handle? Should I smooth out the pommel and polish it,...
