It's that time of year again. Only a little over a week until the 2025 ECG.

We've been building the # of knifemakers over the last few years. Currently 12 makers have committed to the event, and a few are still deciding.
And there should be more DC-area chefs and cooks this year as well.
Knives, food and an afternoon hanging out with a bunch or old and new friends -- what's not to like?
DM me for details if you are interested in coming. Please provide me your name and email address....

I had an absolutely fantastic day with Son. He was very generous with his time, knowledge, and patience. We met at CK14 at about 2pm. had some fun sharing sharp-n-shiny with each other. Had a few shots of his hooch, most of a 1/5th of which now rests in my freezer waiting for a special occasion. I am no fan of whiskey...just not my thing. But however this is produced, it avoids the alcohol burn, replacing it with a dried red-chile burn that I found soothing and delightful...but I must say:...
This thread will be a little different then all of them previous threads Ive ever posted. This is a presentation of my new home, my place, my comfort zone, and me. Altogether with a little of archeology so you guys can put it into context of sorts.
To most of the older members, I am the bastard of the knife forums, whom got banned from the other place for no reason whatsoever. I dont want to really get back to that and I won't.
