Mail came early this morning bearing gifts! This is not my first Japanese knife but first Japanese kitchen knife. Its a Mr. Tanaka 190mm Wa Houchou Gyutou. Core is VG10. Mainly bought this to be my go to kitchen knife and practice free hand sharpening. I realize VG10 might not be the best to practice on but its a good steel and I got a great deal on it. Hopefully I will be adding to my collection very soon!
