      <content:encoded><![CDATA[This vintage Forgecraft was the closet to being ineligible for a refurb job that I&#039;ve done so far. The profile showed over-sharpening/over-steeling in front of the heel. The blade faces were worn down to the max with the brick pattern stampings almost completely removed. Lots of scratches and deep rust pitting was seen.<br />
<br />
I managed to make it all look pretty good but could not get all of the rust pitting removed from the bevels so this one has clear evidence of a prior life.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[This customer sent me a replacement handle that he purchased from James over at <a href="https://knivesandstones.us/" target="_blank" class="externalLink" rel="nofollow">knivesandstones.us </a>along with his knife, to have me perform the handle exchange/upgrade. The handle is made from ebony, has a blond buffalo horn ferrule, and is K&amp;S&#039; &quot;heart shaped&quot; configuration. And what a nice handle it is too, great feel in the handle, with good sizing and perfectly matched with this particular knife.<br />

This knife belongs to the forum owner Jim. He&#039;s asked me to fix &#039;er up and upgrade it a bit while I&#039;m at it changing the handle and who knows what else.<br />
<br />
This particular knife is a good example of 1960&#039;s vintage German knife making. It represents a time where decent hunting knives could be had for not much money, knives that could be used, and then handed down to the next generation.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have found 3 NOS Hiromoto Tenmi-Jyuraku Aogami Super (AS) knives in my shop buried in a box left over from when we moved years ago that I&#039;m offering for sale.<br />
<br />
As most of you likely know these knives are out of production since 2015, no more will ever be made. They have a core of Aogami Super steel wrapped in stainless cladding.<br />
<br />
Buy them &quot;as is&quot; bone stock or add in a handle upgrade or spar treatment for the blade if you so wish. Either way, don&#039;t hesitate as new versions of these knives...<br />

This knife has an Aogami Super steel core wrapped in stainless cladding. <br />
<br />
The blade is much thinner in it&#039;s stock form than Hiromotos were, a plus for sure regarding performance. The spine and choil come as sharp though.<br />
