Seems like only the vendor can start a thread in his or her own forum.

Is it about starting a thread ? Or posting into one already there ?

The vendors fora are set up in such a way that the vendors themselves direct the activity there. They can do much more than on previous permutations of this medium. The goal is for our vendors to create a true storefront/exposition hall/showroom environment here on the KKF.

So anyone can post on an existing open thread, they cannot start a topic in a vendors forum.

Is this a coice a subforum owner can make, as in the owner can switch this functionality on or off? If not it's more like a blog with commenting enabled as compared to a forum.

I would appreciate having members start a thread about a specific topic in my sub-forum. I run out of ideas or just get stale and having a new idea, question or comment pop up would be welcomed.
