Is there a pizzeria , bagel store and Chinese restaurant within 1/4 mile of every strip mall and shopping center where you are?

Here in Kentucky, especially the western part, we're know for BBQ'd Mutton.

White Manna. Burgers cooked on the world's smallest commercial grill.

image.jpg In Minneapolis we have the Jucy Lucy. It is a cheeseburger where the cheese is inside the burger patty. The crazy hot cheese gushes out when you bite it and burns you. Started at Matt's bar which is right by my house. Obama ate there when he was in town recently. Great spot, no frills, no plates, no ice. Lots of napkins.

I guess our signature food is sorghum syrup, but you won't see that in any restaurant.

I was going to say chicken sandwich but I've never seen or heard anyone order it. The servers there usually just ask if you want raw onions or fried onions on the Jucy Lucy.

Scrapple, a fine Pennsylvania concoction of cornmeal with all of the good stuff left over from the pig, finely ground, , add some sage and other spices, shaped into a block. Cut off a slice, fry on each side until crisp. Have it with some eggs.

Is it true that scrapple is fried haggis?

I just caught myself staring at this. Must have been at least 30 seconds of deep mouth watering staring.
