    I really do love my Thermapen. It is somewhat old school with no backlight, dumb auto off that is always too short (set mine to open=on/close=off) and non rotating display, but it is quick and accurate.

    I see they have a Thermapen Mk4 that has rotating display, auto back light, smart sleep mode, and uses a AAA battery. will be waiting for them to show up on the cheap.
