Stained High-carbon blades

    Red onions seem to make it go pretty dark. If you are looking for uniform black, food items will struggle. Why not just a etch?

    Garlic turns a few of my blades Black, onions are right up there too
     
  3. @MattS The oxidation/patina left behind by food is much more durable than the residue left behind after etching.
