    I'm so glad there's a SOTD thread here on KKF...
    Here's what I used today.
    A vintage Gem Junior, patent date 1900/1901. A real beauty with the large "lather catcher" head.
    My Semogue "Excelsior" 1305 Boar Bristle Shaving Brush.
    And old reliable C.O. Bigelow shave cream.
    And now the pics...

    For me, since I got into wet shaving, Vintage has been the way to go.
    It's hard to explain the thrill of using something 50, 75 or even 100 years or more of age.

    I agree. I sometimes think "who had this before me". What was the guy like that used this before I did. What's this razors story.

    Every razor I own is older than I am.

    I especially feel nostalgic when I use a razor, blade, and soap that are all older than I am.

    Today's SOTD - actually shave of the week...I hate shaving...
    We have a GEM Micromatic with C.O. Bigelow shave foam, followed by Givenchy Pour Homme.
    Yes, another Vintage razor! I believe it's also referred as a "Bullet" style handle. It's also a single edge razor...you know, like you use to scrape off your registration stickers on your windshield..
    I figure since I hate shaving so much, let me at least enjoy it as much as possible with fun tools!

    @Toothpick
    Yes, that's good info.
    But, thanks to @Brianw, I have a whole box of them.
    Shaving once a week they should last me approximately 4,300 years.....

    Great to see some life here! Great shave today with a Koeller I received courtesy of @WarrenB some time ago paired up with a Simpsons Colonel and some First Canadian Shave Simcoe Sandalwood
