    Sweet... It is a long process to order a custom knife? What is a usual wait time?

    Best to ask the custom knifemaker for an estimate. Six months is an average, but some custom knifemakers have longer waiting lists.

    I really like the looks of Don's knives.
    How do you like using it?

    My first impression of Don was that he is a natural. I hope he sticks with the knife making.

    Thanks for the offer Rick but I better not. One day I will get one of Don's knives though.
    A lot of new makers think they have to re-invent the kitchen knife and usually come up with monstrosities.
    But with Don I think he came up with a new style that actually works out well.

    BTW: your avatar photo is different than I had expected.
    I guess in my mind you looked more like Jimmy Buffet.
    My avatar, while it is not an actual photo of me, makes it easier for people to recognize me at the knife shows.
