  5. Thanks for your kind words yes,
The knife itself is idential to the Syousin Suminagashi namely same profile, same grind and the same core-steel (R2).

Extra compared to the standard Syousin Suminagashi

    • Acid etch the blade to give it a more pronounced damacus pattern,
    • Rounded choil and spine
    • K&S custom handle: ebony single spacer with blonde / marble ferrule

David Lisch 230x61mm W2 with sculpted ferrule and koa

    Steffen @stoksvig
233mm x 59mm Vintage Wrought Iron clad 1095 core wearing stabilised elm burl

My old Carter with new handle by Chris at Chopshop

And this Gem from Halcyon Forge
    "230x56 Forged Geometry
wrought iron gyuto with 1.2519 core. This steel is similar to aogami #2. This is a new type of geometry that I am experimenting with. This knife has forged geometry, essentially a forged hollow right above the bevel"

I agree. Been busy over here. Not just in buying knives. Opening a third location as well
  13. Well sunuva bean. Haven't been active here in a while, wanted to return but there's no way I can top that last barrage. So I'll just tease something I got recently and take some better pics tonight.
