  1. This arrived last week.
    A 260 Prendergast, incredible value.
Liking it a lot at the moment.
Lighter than I expected, and very thin behind the edge.
Very good cutter, one heck of a taper - couldn't get a good photo.
    Very slow to patina.

Not sure if I've really captured the hammer finish all that well.

A comparison of the profile with my 245 Tansu.

  2. Nice pick up Kev.

    Pretty subtle damascus.
  7. Very nice. I must admit Mareko is high on my list to get from.

And i do love this subtle damascus.
  8. That is a beauty.

Maumasi Fire Arts 250mm chefs knife
    Cru-Forge V, full tang & integral bolster
    Snake wood, monogrammed bronze pin
  11. @Robin Dalman Gyuto 21 cm. AEBL. Handle: strongly figured birch masur, eindeer antler ferrule.
a "new finish" on this one, as well as the "new grind" (higher and slightly hollow).
It looks amazing. I will make a review in January. First impression are great and the first cuts of carrots were flawless.

  12. Sweet looking knives!

Dalman buttcrack nakiri with extra machi gap in case the handle loosens:

Then the weirdest, tallest double-bevel takobiki you've ever seen:
  15. 10th Anniversary Konosuke HD 240mm.
From what I'm told they made less than 10 of these.

Okay Huw, let's see some patina pics from that Cru V now...My Cru V knife takes a wicked dark blue patina and that is from home use. Can't imagine how cool it looks from pro use.
