It's a knife, but not for the kitchen

    Forged a draw knife from 5160ish rail car spring. I have to work at finding stock sized closer to the finished product. it was a lot of work turning a 7/8 inch piece of coil spring into a draw knife. Here it is normalizing before being quenched. Had to bend the reigns in so it would fit in my temper oven. (toaster oven). I'll use a torch to bend them out later.
