I need a stand alone scanner- what say you?

While writing the pets thread I was reminded I need a stand alone scanner, got lots of old photos- it seems that the big boxes are pushing "all in one"s and since I have both a b/w and color inkjet I don't need that. Any suggestions on a mid priced scanner?

I've had a CanoScan LiDE for the last five years and it has served me well. My model (LiDE70) has been replaced by the LiDE210. It's around $80 at Amazon. Works with both Windows and OSX.

After mulling over the options and Square footage I went with Ricks suggestion.
    Thanks Rick.
