Mert, I would be happy to help expedite the process in any way that I can..........

I have a Tansu 230mm hidden tang western in 52100.... it sees frequent use from my daily rotation as does,

173mm wa petty clad blue #2. Big fan of both of the knives, as well as, the maker himself.

Thank you all who provided feedback , i am looking forward for this passaround
Canada will be included too since I had promised Lefty long time ago to send him a blade , that's why I said N. America , if there is demand I don't mind sending to Europe , I have promised Bieniek to send one anyway
@cheflarge Al, thank you brother , I will give you the details once I am close to ship
@Cris I am like my knives tall , I am tall , I like thick spines , no flex ; hang on I am little thick and can't touch me toes , my knives are my reflection LOL
What I call my workhorse grind which is asymmetric for right handed person with good distal taper I believe gives the best balance between food release and ease of cutting for me , they will have the same grind .

Time to revive this old thread , I have sent a knife to Marc for the east coast gathering and gotten good feedback from it so far . It was supposed to be a custom order however at the last grit of hand sanding I have noticed hairline fracture at the spine . The grind is similar to what I call workhorse but with few changes , still experimental at this stage , next ones were less flat and cut slightly better than this one . Since knowing the fracture I haven't worried about handle or fit as much . Keep in mind the knife is heavier due to the copper bolster .
It is forged from 52100 , handle is mallee burl and copper . New ht should yield lot better edge retention over my earlier ones
For those who expressed interest initially for the N.America passaround pm me so I can organise the logistics

Mert, this was such a fun knife to play with. Thanks again for the passaround. It definitely got some great exposure at the ECG, drawing some outstanding feedback.

For those who are wondering, in the pic above the passaround is the knife in the top right corner. The top left corner is mine, which I received from Mert about a year prior. I tried to talk Mert into selling me the knife right off as opposed to doing a passaround. He wouldn't have it, knowing it wasn't perfect. I really didn't care about its small flaw, I just wanted it.

Cheers, Mert. Keep up the great work!
