A Saturday Afternoon Feast!

Had a cookout today for no better reason than it was a beautiful day. Sunny and 70-73 degrees.

15 adults, 8 children and 1 dog. Had a wonderful time!

Baked beans getting ready to go in the oven. Onions, mustard, looks like ketchup, bunch of seasoning, and this mornings leftover bacon.



Potato salad ingredients getting ready. Was also a bowl of diced onions and other fixins'



Fruit and lemonade!!

Pineapple, bananas, watermelon, cantaloupe. Apples and oranges are out of sight.

Baked beans just about ready to consume! They were my favorite dish of the party. Oh, there's the apples.




The grill that did all the cooking.



Ok right about now you gotta be wondering "where's the meat!". We went with pork steaks. I love me some pork. A whole lotta pork! We did hotdogs for the kiddies.

Pops was manning the grill.


Tasssssssty! This batch had BBQ sauce on it.

Leftovers! Well.....not exactly. Mostly everything was wiped out!



And that was 4 pineapples!



Someone snagged those last two pork steaks before they left. Scraping the bottom of the baked beans. Hmmm they were so good.




What a gosh dern excellent day!

 

Jason that looks amazing! I often opt for the pork steak when firing up the grill.

That's what I thought too initially. But then I would have loads of leftovers, and eventually they would just get thrown out.
It was perfect. Nothing left!

 

The contents of the left over platter and bowls says it all. Well done!
