  2. How nice is that!? Everything looks great. Nice work. :) We are just starting to get our first small squash and peppers. Tomatoes are still green.

Still getting a bunch of peppers. It seems that peppers is the one thing that produces continually. Just, non-stop. Everything else is basically done. The weeds have won.

But we did can a few things this year.

  7. Nice stash for the winter! Very nice. :)

Don't give up your garden yet if you still have a mind for greens.
Arugula, spinach, broccoli, Kale, these will all still do very well even into the cold weather.

  9. I hear you Butch. The heat has just knocked my garden back this year. I should get a second run on squash, cucs, and tomatoes.
I have potatoes, onions, and kale going.
One thing that did pop up in the heat is purslane. It's a weed by most accounts, but has a fairly mild flavor for a wild green and is considered a super-food.
We've been adding it to the breakfast plate.
