Great pictures and breakfast suggestions, but a lot of those are way too much for me. Especially the sweet and salty combinations still puzzle me, even after 9 years in the US - bacon and sweet breads or muffins or waffles? Still doesn't work for me. What I miss most are some sturdy German rolls, like what you would call 'pretzel rolls' over here, with a good country ham (not ruined by sugar, syrup etc...) and Swiss cheese, lots of fresh butter, lettuce and tomato. That with a couple of boiled soft eggs and a bottomless cup of good coffee is my idea of a perfect breakfast. Thinking about it, cheese grits also work, but many (breakfast) dishes in the US are way too sweet for me.

I usually have a hard-boiled egg and a really thick/dense piece of toast with butter and jam. And of course a lot of coffee to make me forget why I set my alarm for 4:50 am.

On the weekends, I often make some scrambled eggs. And when I don't have time for breakfast I make this steel cut oat recipe as sort of brunch. It's really tasty.

I assume you're talking to me. Thanks!

I wouldn't say I'm a breakfast snob....When I eat breakfast, I want the best. Most important meal of the day!

First morning in Delhi, so it's been Dosa, aloo paratha, sambal and spiced paneer. Why people would choose shop bought croissants when this was all being made fresh was beyond me.

Jowl bacon, dirty eggs and sourdough toast- find that above the Mason-Dixon line!

It's always a good time for a sammich right. Bacon, egg, avocado, and cheese.

I can't take credit for this one.
Supposed to be a German Pancake. Apples, cinnamon, some flower mixture. Baked in the oven for about 30 minutes. It got a little to done.

You're supposed to flip it out of the pan and presto perfect German Pancake. But it stuck and got scrambled.

Even though it was slightly burnt and scrambled it tasted PDG with the syrup on it.

Had leftover superbowl snack guacamole with a cup of hot sweet tea for breakfast. Wasn't bad, but the garlic/tea residuals aren't the best taste. When I add some minty toothpaste my toothbrush will probably melt.

I shuddered a little when I read this. You are a piece of work!
