No more authentic shells from NY. Didn't last long at all!
Had to use a flower shell. Just not the same. But still better than anything around.

we jsut canned something like 20 pints of salsa. was not to bad but for me it was too heavy on the chilies could have used more habanero and jalapeno. its going to be better as a beef chillie add in then it will be for chips or tacos. your tacos look killer BTW

Jason, if you're ever in this neck of the woods, tacos, tostadas, and quesadillas are on me.

I really appreciated what you have posted as food story, but even more, I love what comes through as a family story.

  12. There is taco shop here in Clarksville, TN called La Casa. It is literally a tiny yellow house that they converted to a restaurant. The food is legit Mexican Food (I am originally from Arizona with a Mexican grandmother). They have a taco truck too. The tacos are double corn small tortillas stacked with whatever kind of meat you want (even some of the nasty stuff), cilantro, onions, and these two special salsas that are red and green. Only authentic Mexican food I have had in Tennessee.

Jason, have you thought about making your own tortillas? They aren't very hard to do, if you aren't picky about them being perfect. And quite tasty when they're fresh and warm.

I'm not much of a cook. Meaning I'm lazy and don't like to cook.
I can cook. I'd just rather someone else do it for me :j

I don't imagine it's hard at all. got a recipe you like?
