This knife has been one of the most challenging one I have done so far ,
It is 185 mm gyuto , clay quenched , hand forged from hitachi blue paper steel , differentially hardened . It is slight asymmetric ground for right handed user and It took a very scary edge . I am glad I didn't cut my self with this one during hand sanding :) it cuts very effortless , 47 mm tall at the heel , 2.35mm thick at the spine and weighs only 134 grams . The handle is western style with stabilised mallee burl , musk ox horn and brass . Hamon is not as clear as you would get with white steel but it's there . If I only could get better pics of it . It will be listed at auctions soon , thank you for looking
