This knife was given to me and it seems to be pretty well made and hardened.
Incorrect sharpening has left the edge wavy. Thoughts on bread knifing it on the stone to bring it back to flat?

    1. sharpen to a burr on both sides with a harsh abrasive.
    2. thin whole with a belt grinder or something, most in the middle
    3. sharpen again, keeping in mind that your goal is to remove the chunk in the middle.
    4. thin again so the bevels are uniform
    5. polish
    6. sharpen and check for inconsistency

good luck I like these ;)

Is this a single bevel like it looks? If so you want to sharpen the bevel until the waviness is gone but keep the angle the same. Also it should have a bit of curve as you get close to the tip do no more than one stroke on the back side to ten on the bevel side when sharpening. Best advice would be to take or send to someone that knows single bevel knives and have them fix it for you.
