I bought a 200mm tanegashima suji to see what it was like.Rustic finish to say the least but it cuts well and edge retention is fantastic.Only downside was the handle was tiny so a new one was in order.
I got a batch of g10 blocks from gameco. here in Oz and have seen it used in lots of hunting knives but not any kitchen knives that i can recall so I gave it a whirl.First time I have used it and i am happy how it has come out.Not mounted yet and still needs polished.I will definately be making more handles from it.
Made from g10 with g10 spacers, nickel spacers and blond buffalo horn.
