The emotes/necks on these Martells looks a bit shorter than you usually see on wa handled knives.
I'm guessing it was by design since all of you three involved in the making of these know your knives.
Just wondering why and how you like them?

I believe its because they are converted from western handles

Actually they are on the shorter side, the photo exaggerates that characteristic a bit more than it is in the hand.

Dave' knives are very well ground the distal tapers are fantastic, you can especially see this on his western handle knives which he does " bow to stern" .
While all are terrific cutters his Nakiri is an especially fine grind- it just drops through food.

I see. They both look awesome! Can't wait 'til my name pops up on Daves list. Even though I like wa's I prefer his westerns. They seem the bees knees. Now to decide between full or hidden tang.
    Great collection, Jim!

Sweet! If I'm going to collect razors I'd want to use them at least once.
