    Hi guys.
We all share the same beautiful hobby - knives, stones, sharpening etc.. Do you have any other time consuming things in your life? I always enjoyed doing different things but when I came to England in 2005 I started to kill my free time. And in that time I had plenty of free time. I was building models, training with nun chaku, making music, doing skateboarding, growing plants, cooking, breeding lizards and many more. Please check few of them:

This one took me a year. Huge submarine model. There was only 300 parts but I wanted to make a good copy of original boat so I started making my own parts.

Wow! I built models as a kid, one or two as an adult. I always dreamed of being able to get to that level of detail. Never even came close. Very impressed.

I had hobbies. They pretty much all faded away when my daughter turned 4. :(

Been playing soccer for close to 40 years now.
Also enjoy driving on road racing courses (i.e., 'Drivers Ed) and helping with the car inspections.
These things were drastically curtailed when our son was born last year. Probably another two years or so before I get back to fuller schedules.

I used to build models like that. I loved getting into the gritty details. But that was along time ago. Photography, wwhen I have the time, is more or less my hobby now
Here are a couple of the few I have stored on my tablet that are small enough file size to upload. Deff not a pro, but I enjoy it a lot.

I have devoted most of my spare time to finishing a two story addition to the house, so the fun stuff has taken a back seat recently. It's slow going throwing an hour or two at it after getting home from the job.

That said, when the ice is out of the river, I like to canoe. When it gets warmer I cycle and fly RC airplanes.

I have a few fountain pens and pocket knives. I enjoy riding bicycles (road and mountain), as well as snowboarding, hiking/backpacking/camping/mountaineering, and fly fishing. Anything that gets me outside, really. On rainy days I enjoy reading, listening to music, or playing cribbage, euchre, and backgammon.

I like to root around in the dirt. But I like to be lazy about it and grow things that don't need special attention--no watering, no spraying, etc. One thing that grows exceptionally well here is roses, so I've been growing some from seed and keeping the plants that thrive on neglect. It takes about 4-5 years to figure out if I like the plant or not, and hundreds of seedlings have been tossed into the compost, but I like these:

This one is one of the most fragrant roses I've come across--it smells like berries. It sets orangey-red hips about the size of cherry tomatoes, and turns bright yellow in the fall.

Love the color on this one--it looks like velvet, and the leaves turn burgundy colored in the fall.

Used to love making model planes when I was a little younger, but I don't have the time now. Work for charity on my days off work now, not really a hobby as such I guess

I have three kids, whatever they like, I do. Right now we are on a Lego kick and I have to say its almost as expensive as knives. (But its a secretly pretty fun)

Okay, actually its a Lego and Queen Elsa kick, but the Frozen thing does not really cost me anything.....I just have to pretend to be Olaf every once in while.

  16. My hobby right now is taking care of 2 surprise miracle babies and finishing my business degree. After trying for 10 years with my husband we had a long heart to heart and decided to stop trying. Found out the next day I was pregnant. 9 months after he was born, I was pregnant again. Before that though I was a jewelry designer/crafter. I take old things and turn them into modern pieces of jewelry or accessories. Next thing I want to do is gemology certification, gold smithing and lamp work glass making and getting my 20 year old through college!

Golf has been a major passion of mine for years.
I suck at it, but enjoy it nonetheless;)

I run a bit as well. About 150-200 miles a month currently.
Trekking and fishing in the woods and on the mountains is a priority in summer, skiing during winter.

Tae Kwon do was a major thing for about a decade+, but I'm too old for that now.

Straight razors, folding knives, natural and synthetic honing stones is a great hobby as well:)

That sounds about right. Although I am getting way too old for that drinking part of it.... Nothing exciting otherwise. I actually do read a lot, mostly mysteries or scientific stuff. I should say 'hanging out at the beach', but I haven't been to a beach in months. I gotta get out more...
