Looked good but didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. The plan was to smoke it at 200 degrees until about 120 internal and then sear them on the charcoal grill the rest of the way.
I also had a dentist appointment for a crown yesterday too. Never having a crown before I underestimated the amount of work involved. So after getting 3 shots of novocain and half my tooth drilled away I was in no mood to proceed with my plans. I put them in the oven until 120 and finished them in a pan on the stove with butter and garlic all while being in a bad mood from a dizzy spell and sore jaw/tooth.

Everyone still said they were good but since my plans were ruined I didn't like them as much

Good thing I got a few more to try again later

Couple ribeyes and a skirt steak on the grill. Still have not mastered the grilled steak. I let it sit on the "cool side" until it came up to roughly 120 then moved directly over the coals until it reached 135ish and pulled it. They are tasty but just not as tender as I would expect. Next time I'm gonna try directly on the coals until it reached temp.
