This was labeled Pork Roast from our local source of beef/pork. IDK...to me it seemed more like a big pork steak. It had a decent bone in it and was only bout 2.5lbs. Turned out pretty good on the smoker though!

What grill do you have ? My first smoker was a treager, I wore it out over 4 years, parts literally hanging off but man it made some good food. I've moved to ceramic grill since then, but have contemplated adding a pellet grill back into the fold , because why not .

Prime rib low and slow over the rotisserie . It ended up a more cooked than I like but it was still super juicy and tender . It was for the best , several dinner guest were in the no pink camp anyway .

Pitt Boss 850dx. Lowe’s special. My first foray in to smoking. I was at a friend’s house over the 4th and he has an offset smoker. So now I want one of those haha. It produced THE SMOKE!

I've had more smokers than I can shake a stick at ..... I love offset , but nobody makes a quality one for tkess than 1k. Oklahoma Joe used to , but they got bought by chargriller , and their smokers got seriously cheaped down, and have the same problems as chargriller smoker.... Leaky AF, crap temp control , bad airflow , cheap build quality , etc. also, after the buyout , Oklahoma Joe customer service turned into chargriller customer service ... Non existent. You are honestly better off getting a used quality ceramic grill off of FB market place. You can find gen 1 kamado grills for a very good price , and they are beast . Hell.... A Weber kettle grill makes a fantastic smoker as well..... That said , a good , properly designed offset is a lot of fun to learn and use, even if they do need a little baby sitting.

So in 42 years you haven't taught them to enjoy the wonders of medium-rare?
