2025 East Coast Gathering (ECG) - Sunday, July 20, Washington, DC Area

It's that time of year again. Only a little over a week until the 2025 ECG.

We've been building the # of knifemakers over the last few years. Currently 12 makers have committed to the event, and a few are still deciding.

And there should be more DC-area chefs and cooks this year as well.

Knives, food and an afternoon hanging out with a bunch or old and new friends -- what's not to like?

I wholeheartedly recommend it. I got a lot going on but going to try and make it. Year number 4 for me. Can't wait to see you David! Thanks in advance for hosting this fantastic event.

Geeze Butch, you were attending them in PA before I started going. That was maybe in 2012?

Jayson, I hope you are able to make it next week. A couple more makers than last year, and a couple more DC chefs.

 

I really wish I could go, but I start school in August and its just not doable for me ..,... super sad face. It would be awesome to put actual faces and real names to forum members

 

ECG is one week from today

Over 50 people have said they are coming, and there are still a handful or two that aren't sure.

And we're up to 13 Smiths/ Makers:

And District Cutlery, although not sure if there will be any of their knives
And there are 3 more smiths/ makers who are still undecided

We have people coming in from Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts and Georgia.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, and what will be the widest variety of knives we've had at an ECG.
