    Thanks! The balance is about 1.25" in front of the heel. I kind of like a blade heavy knife, so it's working out. The only quirk, is that I keep trying to reach back further when I'm trying to clean it, or when I first go to grab it. Once I settle in to it, it feels pretty good. It's weighing in at about 162g.

    Finished this one up yesterday on Halloween! 223mm Chef's knife with S-grind. AEB-L and 302 in raindrop pattern, with the AEB-L hardened @~62hrc. Handle is Mango wood, with Amboyna and copper spacers, and Ironwood ferrule. Weighs in at 206 grams, and the balance point is just in front of the heel.

    I always appreciate the kind words! I appreciate the criticisms as well after I beat my head against a wall. Seems to always be something to improve on, but I might get bored if there wasn't :).

    9 7/8" (251mm) Chef's Knife in AEB-L @ ~63hrc 2 1/8" (53mm) tall at the heel and weighing 220g with an S-Grind. Handle is stabilized buckeye burl with nickel silver and dyed maple spacers.
