Kiridashi 1095/1018 laminate

Discussion in 'Caublestone Cutlery' started by Daniel Cauble, Jan 21, 2019.

  1. These are great for testing synthetic or natural stones to detect the level of finish they will leave on your ironclad sanmai kitchen knives. If you follow me on IG you can see the progress of their creation from barstock, to forgewelding, to forging, grinding and stone polishing. A lot of work.

I am currently at a loss as to how much to sell these for. Tbh, i feel like there is $100 worth of work and efforts in each one. However the market is flooded with poor excuses with secondary bevels and no ura. Bogus. So i may have to undercut myself and sell cheaper.

I have 1 finished, 1 being raffled (i decided to try raffling again), 2 being finished up and 3 ready for HT.

I have 1 finished and currently stone polished on a Ozaki Asagi, that im thinking of taking to a higher polish on my Karasu.

Im going to try to get these out there so i dont hang onto them forever. Im willing to part with these next few for $75 shipped anwhere in the US (saves you another $7).

First things first, the one that is done. Its a lefty.

    I would like one.

  3. Awesome! A lefty as pictured above is done, and i am finishing up 2 right handed ones this evening. I'll post those asap.

  4. Tbh, im thinking about just dropping them to $40+SH. There just isnt demand for expensive kiridashi.

Are you going to list on your website?
