Since the BST has a few different guidelines than several of the other forums that I have set up before.( B&B the old KKF, ect ) I thought a brief highlight of how it works would be helpful.
    From the BST guidelines:

Eligibility - Members must have a minimum of 45 days and 50 posts (quality - on topic - non spamming posts) to use this forum for sales and trades, however, every member is welcome to purchase. The B/S/T forum is not to be used by knifemakers, hobbyists, or vendors for the sale of their wares/services. This forum is for personal sales use only and is limited to one sale per 10 day period.

Eligible items (to be listed) will be related to kitchen knives/cooking or other items at the discretion of the team. Please contact a team member for approval for any non-kitchen related items.
Pricing - Values must be listed for all knives/items being sold/traded and remain in the sales thread for posterity.

All sale prices must be listed in US$
Payments - Payments, via Paypal, are to be made under the "Goods and Services" option. Sellers are forbidden to request, or require, "Personal Payments" (aka "Gift" option) for items being sold.

Commenting - The B/S/T forum is set up as a classified ad forum no comments are available in this forum, please contact the seller via PM to discuss the sale. If you have a concern about a sale item please contact the team to discuss.

Policy - Using the B/S/T forum is a privilege reserved for our active members, access to the B/S/T forum may be revoked at any time for any reason solely at the teams discretion.

So as you can see the greatest change ( bolded above) is the "classified ad type environment, rather than a discussion type. This new forum style does offer the ability for the poster to select "sold" after the item is gone. This edit ability will be a great help for the buyers. While both forms styles have advantages, the BST has historically been an area that required a lot of administrative oversight. I have found the less oversight required by the team and the less oversight the members get- the happier and healthier the community is.

Thanks for all your support, Enjoy.

At the suggestion of one of our senior and founding members, we have enabled the ability to reply to threads in the BST forum.

Needless to say, KKFora decorum will apply in the BST as well.

I hope you all enjoy this option.

The B/S/T guidelines say 1 thread/10 days. Does that mean that after 10 days I can add a second thread for another knife and have 2 open threads?

    Lucretia,
please do start another thread when you care to. The overarching goal is to keep the BST to casual sales and non comercial. We thought one every 10 days would help do that.
