Possible Group Buy

Discussion in 'Food and Drink' started by nhaitz, Apr 24, 2014.

  1. After you guys made me realize I want some tasting spoons I got in touch with Mercer Tool Company. They make a knock-off of the Kuntz spoon and some other interesting things.

My samples arrived yesterday. So, I am throwing out a possible group buy opportunity.

Mercer makes four tasting/plating spoons, eight interesting tweezer/tongs and a sauce spoon.

Anybody interested in a KKFora group buy on spoons & tweezers?

Top photo is from their catalog. The other two are quick shots with my cell phone. I don’t have prices yet. They sent samples, catalogs, etc., but neglected to send a price list. Will get back with prices in a few days.

what are the tweezers for?... lol now that I think of it not bad for flipping bacon

  5. Hmmm... obsessing over presentation. People use the tweezers for putting small things exactly where they want them on the plate. Also handy for picking up small delicate items.

  6. I broke down and bought one of the Kuntz spoons from JB Prince. They seem to be the designated retailer now for his spoons. I hated to pay that much for a spoon, but wanted to see if Mercer's spoon is an exact duplicate. Should know in a couple of days. Will post some side by side photos.

Very cool, Nancy! I have zero need for these things - I plate like my homeboy Jamie Oliver - but still a really cool group buy for the fine dining/non-rustic guys.

That time when you need the orcid to sit just so in the smear of wild berry compote and your fingers are too short/fat/clumsy... :)
