If I'm lucky I don't have to get up early for work. I can't eat anything that early, maybe a bowl of yoghurt. If I'm really lucky I'll have some homemade bread, freshly out of the oven. Courtesy of my girlfriend. Then it doesn't really matter what you put on. But mostly it looks something like this. With a cup of cappuccino.[IMG]

This morning I had Spam and egg musubi - starch, fat, and salt all in one compact package, what more can you want?

Thanks, Jim. I'm really pleased with those pans. We do a double batch of pancakes most weekends, so we'll have some in the fridge for breakfast during the week. Using three pans is so much faster than making one at a time on our old non-stick pan. These come out crispier and somehow taste better (my imagination?) than when I was using teflon or whatever it was. I'm really glad to have coated non-stick pans out of my life.

Stefan, sounds like my breakfasts. Had a can of Vienna sausages, rice and over easy eggs today with sausages in a teri glaze.

These all look and sound delicious!

I work today, so I had a big cup of coffee, and a double bowl of Vector cereal. While driving, I ate a banana. Tomorrow morning, while leaving work, it'll be coffee, an apple, a banana, an avocado and Greek yogurt.

I made some honey vanilla hazelnut pancakes with butter and berry preserves on top, along with eggs over easy and turkey sausage patties. I'm sure the turkey sausage is sacrilege 'round these parts, but it was spiced perfectly. It was a big hit with me and my better half.

Didn't get a picture, but had fried green tomatoes with eggs scrambled in the drippings this morning.

Yesterday morning it was almond/buckwheat pancakes with local sausage and mixed berry jam.

It's been a good week for breakfast.

Not what I had but what I have been craving as a regular breakfast for some time now...

  14. We go through a ridiculous amount eggs here. I eat them in some form nearly every day, usually fried over medium in bacon fat or Kerrygold . Sometimes I'll make a breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon or ham, homemade sausage and onion and chives cream cheese on a low carb everything bagel. Of course that's contingent on at least 2 cups of coffee first.

  19. For the rare weekday bkfst, any cereal that happens to be in the house, with non-dairy 'mlk'. Usually high fiber, which around 6 hours later necessitates spending a lot of time under the hoods, if you know what I mean. Given a choice, one of the best is picadillo with a coupe of eggs, maduros, white rice & black beans and a hot chocolate.
All you gluten free, low fat, etc. guys can leave the room. I understand. Really.

    BTW, nothing beats Japanese eggs.
