This is a shout out to my favorite herb. I just used it in a sauce for some chicken, but just plucking a bunch of leaves and putting them in salad is also amazing for a little flavor punch.

I also love me some sumac and lavender.

What herbs and spices are your favorite flavorings? Just wondering.

Tarragon too, we don't use it enough. However I love the power that a fresh bit if sage can have, fried in the fatty juices of some steak or lamb.

Look up a Corn flan with tarragon recipe ...

I love tarragon and shellfish together. One of my favorite tarragon dishes is a vinaigrette with tarragon infused vinegar, shallot, crawfish, and brandy. It went on something with a soft boiled egg. I can't even remember what the main component was the egg and vinaigrette were so good. On the opposite end of the spectrum I dislike dried thyme to a nearly psychotic level.

MMmmmm a pot of mussels with white wine, garlic, chives, and finished with tarragon. Otherwise I enjoy roasting with rosemary.

I've never heard of tarragon but that's not saying much.
I guess I'm just a pass the salt kind of guy.
    I like garlic though.

We have a crab and grits dish at my work. We steep tarragon and use the water to cook the grits. Very tasty.

I like thyme, flat leaf parsley, chervil, tarragon, rosemary, mint, sage, chives, scallions, basil, oregano, marjoram blah blah blah.

Depends on what I'm making but yeah, I like herbs.

I love tarragon. Roast chicken with it. Risotto. Plenty of other great stuff. Craving some polenta now

Great herb garden, Jeffery, something I am dreaming of. I love most herbs, hard to name favorites, but thyme, mint and tarragon would be among the top ones. And sage, cilantro, and basil. And rosemary...

i prefer chervil over tarragon with seafood, but my favorite herb by far has to goto cilantro.

One more for the fan club. Enjoyed a nice pot of mussels Sunday evening (tarragon, dry vermouth, shallot, garlic, cream). Really, though, it was all an excuse to enjoy the tarragon.

Very nice! Is this just as simple as nailing 4 boards in a square and filling with potting soil? I don't have a yard that I can till up (Townhouse on a community lot) and the ground here is red clay anyway.
This looks doable on my patio though.

That would be all we did and lined the bottom with landscaping felt to help with unwanted's. At home I have random pots of them around the kitchen :)

Sweet thanks for the info. I wouldn't have thought of the landscaping felt.

My sauce was chicken drippings, creme fraiche, dry vermouth, and tarragon. Mmmmh.

And I have been meaning to try some square-foot gardening for some time. My new house has a cool yard, but I am going to give it a year to see how the sun reaches different places as there are a lot of trees. Thanks for the inspiration Jeffery.
