Two chef knives, the top is a 220mm out of Elmax from Andrei Nikolaevich and the bottom is an integral 220mm 52100 chef from Alex Horn who is one of the Muteki smiths:

Really nice transition from the bolster to the blade, nice and smooth and very comfy:

    Choil shot on the Andrei:

Hard to say, they both cut well, maybe a slight edge to the Horn. Long term the Horn should sharpen up easier and Andrei's edge should last longer.

    Both really well made knives.

  9. No idea how much you paid but it's an absolute must try for any kitchen knife enthusiast.

    Congrats.

And this amazing gem. Not new, but might as well be. Cris resized and re-profiled it for me, as well as add some updated touches to the handle.

This knife is just off the charts now.

Both of those are nice, but that mazaki just really takes the cake for me!

The Mazaki has not been a disappointment. It's an excellent knife at an extremely competitive price.
