    Time for another pass around.

I picked up Andrei's gyuto a couple of weeks ago. I would like to share his work with the forum by doing a passaround.

    Here’s a link to Andrei's thread: https://www.kitchenknifefora.com/threads/for-sale-230mm-cts-bd1gyuto.4511/

The usual rules apply - keep it a week, sharpen it only if you know what you’re doing, insure it when shipping to the next person on the list. Post in this thread when you get the knife and when you send it to the next person. Andrei would appreciate any comments or criticism, and you may post about your experience in this thread.

As before, preference will be given to Site Contributors. You should have a minimum of 50 posts or be known to me.

PM me or reply in this thread if you're interested.

I was going to ask you how you liked this one. From the pictures the handle looked awesome, and the blade looks like it would be a solid cutter. If I recall right, the HT is around 58? That's what really had me curious.
If you have room and don't mind, I'd like to partake in this pass around.

I should have peaked at the post linked above prior. Looks like the HT is listed at 59, however the other thing that had me very curious was the steel type itself.
I haven't experienced this steel before, so I'd be very interested.

    Woohoo!

    You're a damn gentleman, Rick.

  6. Looks like a good knife, I presume this is a newer maker as I've never heard of them, I've also never heard of that steel, really nice looking handle though and its profile looks sweet.
