Not sure that is a Robin.
Its a wren of some sort methinks.
    nice photos in any event!

  2. I had the same reaction as Jim, same colours very different looking bird, glad to learn something new.

  3. Yep I learned something too! Just assumed a Robin looked the same the world over.

  9. It's funny the latin name caeruleus because in Portuguese the people that know latin still use the word cerúleo, that means sky-colored (sky - ceu, in Portuguese), so similar to the original caeruleus (cerúleo).

  10. Thanks guys!

    Everything is weird over here:D

Thanks for the great info @Marcelo Amaral! Interesting to see the worlwide relations to the birds here in the UK:)

  11. No problem! I find that interesting too.

Do you keep track of the birds you've seen? I know some folks are serious about bird watching and chart all their experiences and sightings.

  13. I don't make notes, just keep a mental map of where I see them regularly. Just nice to get some fresh air and do some walking as well while I'm out with the camera!

  14. Great pictures of the Robin, Warren. Which kind of lens/camera do you use?

  15. Thanks!
    I used a Nikon D800 with a Nikon AF-S 300mm f/4 D Lens + Nikon 1.4x Converter, so shot these pics handheld at 420mm from about 10-15 feet away.
