  2. Very interesting to hear. I must say i do love how the contours and facets flow into the integral bolster.

    Awesome work.

  6. It's been brought to my attention that it might sound like I'm claiming to be the original source of this style handle. That's certain is not the case and would be very foolish of me.
As I understand @Pennman88 and @HHH Knives have also done a their take on a Japanese/Western hybrid.
Mine originated from simple observation of my own procedures for handle shaping. I do some gross material removal by grinding facets into my handle's, then smoothing out and rounding off the ridges in between the flat spaces. It's was one day a couple years back that I noticed that leaving it faceted might make and interesting handle. I ran through a few iterations but I was never really happy with the results. It was only recently, while my monkey mind was running and I was grinding a blade, that I had a though as to how to make it work, hence the above examples.

  7. Email sent. Not sure it went through, didn't get any kind of confirmation ... sent it through the form on your website. Email is same as my username ;)

  8. @Esteban, Haven't received it yet, but I'm sure it's on it's way. I've had no problems with the service. Though I am having issues with cell data running super slow. I will get back to you ASAP my friend.

I think the general assumption at this point in the knife game (with a knife being one of the oldest tools known) there is not much that can be considered 100% original, lol.

Mareko, how about a pic of the knife in your hand with a normal grip? IMO that belly looks 9 months big and I wonder how it might impact the grip. Of course it could just be the angle of the pics too.

  11. I absolutely agree. Regarding the belly of the handle I agree there too. I plan on taking a little more material off the belly.

Will get pics up soon of the knife being held in a more normal grip.

    Best,
    Mareko
