I had finished this a month or so ago but hasn't been on the forums much lately , just had time to post it .
It is the second piece of the custom order for @kevpenbanc , which he commissioned a year or so ago. It is a Damascus nakiri to go with his feather pattern gyuto . The billet was from Randy , HHH , heat treated around 60-61hrc
The idea was to make a nakiri that was bigger than his current nakiri and smaller the Chinese cleaver he has .
It is whopping 210mm at the edge and around 70mm tall . The handle is matching with the gyuto handle , made from box elder burl , musk ox horn ferrule and end cap. We have exchanged so many emails about this project and I thought it would be best for me to meet him in person and we drove to his place including my family ( don't expect this for overseas orders lol ) and deliver by myself . In the meantime I have etched his gyuto little deeper too and took some family pictures of both knives . Here are few pictures of them

Here's a couple of pics, I've been meaning to get some nice pics so as to do them justice, but February has been a bit busy. Will get round to it soonish ;-)

Super happy with these, was actually just caressing them 20 minutes ago - no chopping today, left overs.

The IG photo that Mert posted above gives some idea of the scale of the Nakiri against a normal 165 nakiri.
