Couple more knives I have done recently ,
First one is a kuro uchi honesuki, I have made the sanmai from mild steel and hitachi aogami 2 steel . Handforged , I have forged the blade to final dimensions and ground asymmetric for right handed person . It is very stiff , with a thin tip . Handle is octogonal Malaysia two coloured Blackwood and African Blackwood ferrule with a brass pin .
Because of the kuro uchi Finish I have chiseled my makers mark TK on the right side than electro etching .

Second one is a boning knife that got the inspiration from kaiken tanto , it is made from Takefu Shiro Suminagashi San mai billet, hand forged , water quenched , very stiff but with a thin tip for delicate work .
The bolster is hammer textured copper to give the tanto feeling , handle is semi octogonal made from a very high quality mallee burl , I am really digging this style with an upswept sword tip .
I will be offering these models from now on , your feedback is welcomed , thanks for looking

Really liking the tanto boning knife. It should look stunning once it develops a patina!

Thanks , tanto one seems to be a hit , got couple orders of it already , it's funny I haven't even measured the knife , just looked at the proportions , it must be around 200mm

  12. The boning knife looks amaizing! And the honesuki looks simple but exactly what you need out of one.
