2016 ECG - Northern Virginia

Time to start thinking about the 2016 ECG! Sundays always seem best, and May worked well last year (not too terribly humid yet). So it would be good to hear which Sunday would work best for potential attendees. May 1, 15 or 22 are the potential dates.
Last year Bill13 was kind enough to host at his house in Arlington, Virginia. I live 15-20 minutes away in Alexandria. Bill’s house has a better yard for this, and my house has a better interior space should weather be an issue. So at this point it could happen at either of our houses.
Please chime in so we can schedule for the day when the most pros have a chance of attending.

 

For the first I am actually living on the east coast and can make it. I can be there anytime. Live in Bel Air, MD if anyone in the area needs a ride.

My clubs annual 2 day show is on the weekend of May 1, so that takes me out if that's the day decided upon.
I went to one 3-4 years ago at Warren's place in Penn. It was an incredible time for me. So I'd love to get to another...

More seriously....I am thinking about manipulating things on my end to make it this year...if it's at all possible. I like the weekend of the 22nd myself, but for the most part I'm available across the board .

 

I can make anything but 5/1, I'll be over on the west coast that weekend. Looking forward to seeing everyone again, and maybe even some new faces!

I expect to attend regardless of which weekend it is. And if anyone in the Philadelphia area would like a lift, contact me.

 

at this point i think im fairly open as things get nailed down i ll know more as to if we have the the kids or not (will hav eot see abot having my friend and his wife down this time as they wil fit right in

We ended up moving here from Utah about a year ago. Love it so far, but miss the short drive to Casa de Thomas. Of course now I am only about 15 minutes from Dave. I have to make sure there is always a good knife maker to harass.

Awesome attendance list so far! Fingers crossed it's not on the first, especially since I live down the road from Bill.

 

Hmmm, door prize. I have a lot of used audio gear that I have pulled out of houses; good stuff, just customers wanted to upgrade or update. I can come up with something fun.

 

That would be great! (Especially if the door prizes would be equipment Jeremy Kipnis had in his house prior to an upgrade.)

 

2016 ECG is now officially set for Sunday, May 15. Arlington and/ or Alexandria in northern Virginia, just across the stinky Potomac from DC.
Thinking it would be nice to organize a dinner on Saturday at Green Pig Bistro, near ChucktheButcher's memorial knife cabinet display. Could make a quick trek over on Sunday as well.
