Well, they nailed California. Nepenthe is the most amazing place to have lunch you'll ever see.

I'm in!
If all goes to plan I'll be in Pigeon Forge later this year at one of the many luxurious cabins they have there. I'll have to add Dollywood to the list of attractions to check out.

I'm from that neck of the woods. If you're into hiking at all, try to find a nice day to head up the Alum Cave Bluff trail to the summit of Mt. LeConte. You can get info at the Sugarlands Visitor Center (worth a stop) in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The views from the lodge and cliffs at the top are amazing, but there are many interesting sights on the way up, as well. Smoky Mountain Knife Works in Sevierville is worth checking out. The Pancake Pantry and Park Grill in Gatlinburg are great for breakfast and dinner, respectively. Smoky Mountain Brewery (near the Park Grill) has good, locally brewed beer. The Apple Barn in Sevierville should not be missed for breakfast, imo. That's all easy to get to from Pigeon Forge.

 

I love that most of them are "check out this cultural event", "do this awesome outdoorsy thing", "eat here", "drink here", and Idaho is "drive across the narrowest part of the state and get the f*** out". :lol:

 

Thanks for the tips! I'll try to check some of the places out. I won't be doing any cooking so restaurants are a must.
