During the week I get home late a lot. I havent had my slow cooker out in ages and I think its high time I get it back up amd going again. I do the meatballs thing, I have a three day beef chili thing I do, as well as a standard stew, but was wondering what else is out there. Sure I could google it, but where's the fun of that, lots of new guys of gentlemanly forumness Id like to get to know, and threads like these are always a great way as well.

My slow cooker recipes are all complicated and require more work after! :) It really isn't efficient for me. It just cooks things when I can't be home to watch it haha.

I do that as well,... Let it do the long part so all I need to do is some light work when I get home like a side or add some veggies I want to still be crisp. Probably not to the level you mean, but it does open up more weekday options for me

I often do sauerkraut, baby potatoes, baby carrots in mine, then grill some kielbasa sausage to have with it. You can just cut up the sausage into chunks/discs and add them right in for the whole cooking time, if you want. If you aren't as worried on the calorie count, bacon is never a wrong thing to add in as well. I've also used this to slow cook venison in (add bacon to that one for sure).

1 can of Campbell's soup - your choice
    Empty in slow cooker.
    Add a little water.
    20 minutes
    Enjoy

There was a time I didn't have a stove. Not that I'd use it if I had one.

If you look for braising recipes you might get some more ideas. Osso buco comes to mind. Trotters of pig or sheep might be another one to look up.
Man this spell check is killing me on this phone.

My wife found this one. Take one large, or two small pork tenderloins, fill slow cooker with water or vegetable stock(canned is fine) just until the meat is only half to 3/4 covered(.5 to.75 for you canucks). in a small saucepan add 1 cup of balsamic vinegar, don't use the high grade stuff, and one cup of brown sugar. Bring to a boil and add a cornstarch slurry, 2 teaspoon of CS whisked in some warm water, the sauce will thicken to a heavy syrup consistency. Put aside a quarter cup of the glaze for later, and pour the remainder over the exposed meat, letting it run off into the fluid. set the cooker on low if you're going to be gone all day, when you get home glaze the top of the meat with the remaining glaze. There should be about half an inch of fluid left in the cooker, if not, add some until there is. Now shred the meat in the cooker incorporating the fluid. Spoon onto a crusty roll for a sandwich, or on a bed of rice. It's similar to bbq pork, but with a unique flavor. All five of my kids love it, which is a rarity around here.

Few things are as easy or satisfying as a good pot of beans done in a slow cooker.

You could feed a lot of your AD's if you purchased a 50 lb bag of rice and 50lb bag of beans.

    3. In a large soup pot, cover the beans with roughly 2″ of water and bring to a rolling boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the beans for about 1/2 hour. Once they begin to soften, pour the beans in crockpot
    4. While the beans are cooking, put all the other ingredients in the bottom of the crockpot.
    5. Put Crockpot on low for 8-10 hours stirring occasionally.
