Free Balsa stropping block

Discussion in 'Giveaways/Pay It Forward/Win a Knife' started by FinnEdge, Oct 18, 2015.

  1. Have a spare homemade stropping block from tinkering on the weekend and it needs a home. I'm not a professional craftsman by any stretch of the imagination , just an enthusiast. It's not the one in the photo but same same. Balsa Strop (1).JPG
Available to all members, free shipping in Australia, for International only ask if you can chip in to help with cost. If anyone is interested, respond here. Depending, we may have to do a random draw/lucky dip.

    Cheers

I never tried stropping on balsa before, would be interested to try. I am in Perth, WA, by the way.

    Your work looks good!

  8. The homemade balsa block has a new home. Coming your way V1P too give it a work out!!
Please PM me with your details and I will ship it off asap.

  9. looks very nice... and a lovely thing to give away. I like how you rounded the sides and the added height from the base is a great choice.

  10. Thank s dough. The height is mainly for my fit and benefit. Compensating for my rather large hands :(

  11. Righto, same as last time but base is Australian rainforest redwood.
Sorry for crappy photo, it doesn't really show the nice colour.
