I want to try an experiment, Iv also want to learn to cook something new, so I have this idea that works as such...

if you are in, we will come up with a dish (making sure i have access to ingredients)

it had to be made with equipment I have on hand which ill run through. if your in though we will do it at a time when you can be on and do this in real time right here, either you can make it to and post along to shore the difference between the two dishes, or just guide me through it here.... and if course anyone else one can get in on this too

anyone game to teach a new dish to someone ?

I would be happy to share some stuff with ya James. Is there anything in particular you want to learn (style/ethnic) maybe if you had a general idea, different people with different backgrounds could jump in.

I know a lot of basic north american stuff... when it comes to ethnic unless it comes in a jar or a prepack ive never done it lol. im open to anything so long as its different.

Maybe a chicken dish of some kind, I dont want to influence things to much, would live to learn something you love to cook, so i xan open a new door, rather then me have you teach me something i already know or have tried a lot.

Let me think on it and I'll come up with some options and maybe something will grab your interest.

This sounds like fun! What kind of duration do you imagine for this? 2 hours? 8 hours? There are lots of things that would require marinating/brining for some hours or even overnight...or have similar kinds of unattended steps.

id be okay with that if needed... plus of it works there is no reason not to keep going...

would be like our own interactive cooking show here, since it would be detailed step by step with pictures it would be a good place for people wanting to learn new things to stop in at no matter how old or new the post is.

Ah, you want to post to the forum in real-time? (read your original post more carefully.)

For real-time posting, I'd suggest something like a soup or stew, where you can prep your ingredients, take a break to post/read posts, cook things in steps, and not risk burning down the kitchen. (I'd say chicken chili, but it would make Danny's head explode.)

I see what you did there. -_-

I need to see if I can get a d-grade movie made to show the horrors of chicken chili....I know! a psychotic, homicidal, psychic bowl of chicken chili that wanders a desert wasteland, murdering everyone who crosses its path....title:

    Rubber: Chicken.

This is a very cool idea.
I'm just starting to cook a bit myself, so I find this very positive and exciting.

Starring our own Toothpick as the nymphet in a bikini who made the poor shoe selection of mile-high heels. He twists his ankle while fleeing the chilimonster and is devoured at the end of the first scene.

I've never cooked in high heals before, that could be a challenge. But I guess if I'm killed off in the first scene it doesn't matter.

come up with a dish, list ingredients so I and amyone joining in can acquire them, then pick a day and time to get to it
