First up... not dinner, its to late for that, but some very boring and tedious maintenance work

    IMG_20150904_220337.jpg

But then, I like this kind of tedious. Man I had the burners set so far apart,...
    IMG_20150904_221340.jpg

And let both pans come to temp for about 5 minutes and after a few minutes, I couldnt believe the difference

Guess we know which one is the "bacon" pan

btw whats the easiest way to clean the brown bits off the outside of the DeBuyer pan ?(from the pour out), or should i not worry about it?

    Alright Jason, hope you ate

Cooked the Sausage in the dutch oven to keep the flavour in there and when ready prepared the cast iron pan for browning
    IMG_20150905_183128.jpg

While browning I began with the peppers with some seasoning, and began to heat the water for thr pasta... more to come as we go.... this is live btw

Took the sausage out of the pan to rest a bit so I could cut into bite sized pieces... IMG_20150905_184128.jpg

and dumped what was left from the cast iron pan into the dutch oven with the green peppers.
    IMG_20150905_184139.jpg

ill add lots of sliced garlic let that soften then comes the camned tomatoes

Add the canned diced tomatos and deglazed bottom of the oven.... cut up thr sausage and back in we go... put the lid on to get it back up to temperature, but ill take it back off so it can simmer down some liquid to thicken some IMG_20150905_185147.jpg IMG_20150905_185450.jpg

hmmm some of the sausage pieces seem to have been left behind... guess ill snack on them whil i wait.... what else can i do now with them

By the looks of the liquid on top, we will be simmering for a while, so I shut down the pastas boiling water for now IMG_20150905_191936.jpg

that was actually the plan.... but I forgot I gave my last bottle of red wine away going to a bday party a couple of weeks ago.... so it was the tomato juice or water... or iced tea,... but thats just odd

it was great, been a while since i put some real cooking together... i totally forgot the bread, but i didn't have room for it anyway.

    IMG_20150905_210235.jpg

all cleaned up, this cookware did great both in cooking and in washing. now i need to figure out what to do with the prime rib roast... i bet it will need red wine whatever it is lol.

But for tonight all I have to do is relax...
