  2. I dig that pointy one that looks like a spike. Really weird and I would never use it but it would look cool sitting on my counter.

wooden spoons can be a great tool if you have to baste fish in a non stick pan. I wish I had one with a nice deep bowl on it like a kunz.

Your description was spot on. 365 spoons in 365 days. Cool stuff.

  5. Have you guys seen the Instagram account @365spoons ? He did the same thing last year, but with more traditional spoons.

I still remember whacking my brother on the wrist with a wooden spoon. He screamed really loudly and I got yelled at.
Years later I don't know what got in to me but I was thinking about that incident and I thought "Hmmm wonder what that felt like" So I gave myself a good whack and holy crap those wooden spoons HURT!!
It wasn't until then that I felt bad for whacking him with the spoon.

The spoons pictured look like what one might expect from an artist that designs items that are supposed to be utilitarian -- but clearly aren't. I love art, but detest poorly functioning or non-functioning items that pretend to be more than art.

On the other hand we are fortunate to have so many knife makers -- Cris Anderson comes immediately to mind, but obviously there are many more -- who create knives that not only function superbly but also are beautiful, and may justly be considered works of art.

  9. Always intrigued by the variety of spoons out there :)
