That's the name and they live up to that!

Was at Academy Sports today and picked these up on an impulse. Tonight I had the Bison and the Lamb. You can taste every flavor! Best beef snacks I've ever had.

I liked that one much better than the lamb.
Problem is they retail for a little over 2 bucks each, like 2.30. I could eat a couple per day!

The idea of the fruit initially put in my mind a sweet candy mixed with meat, but as I think about it those done subtly may be ok. If I see them I'll give one a try just to be a sport. :tpk

  7. That's a reasonable amount of protein for a 43g protein bar lol. Probably because its totally meat based. I eat 130-150g of protein a day and stay at around 2600cal or so average. On days I'm forging or polishing (seriously...hand sanding is a ridiculous calorie burn!) I burn over 4000cal in one day so my intake goes up accordingly lol...but still, at 2600 I budget my intake within reason. I'm not sure I'd have room for these at 190 calories, 10g of carbs, and 13g of protein though. 43g of roast chicken breast has only 70cal, 0g carbs, and the same 13g of protein.

The flavors sound delicious though. I wonder how hard it would be to make my own 'bars' mixing up cured meat with flavoring?

    Hmm...

When you do that Cris I'll be your taste tester!

It tastes like meat for sure. But the flavors also announce themselves as you chew. My taster basically munches and says yummm rather than trying to pick out flavors.

The mint that's in the lamb...I didn't taste any at all. But the cranberry and bacon came through

  9. I'll look into it for sure. I don't much eat breakfast or 'snacks', and only eat lunch on lift days...but quick, low calorie cost real meat (supplements aren't my preference) protein boosts would be cool.

Did a google search on epic meat, and the Epic Mealtime guys popped up. If you're looking for some protein, how about some Big Mac Loaf?

    They make a taco bar?

Or are you just taking jabs? Knowing my affinity for tacos and my poor geographical location for good tacos....

This is the turkey. Almond and cranberry.
Chucks of almond and cranberry in it too.

I didn't dig the taste of this one.
