What's Your Favorite Gas Station Food?

Never thought I would find a great breakfast sandwich from a gas station but it happened the other day.

The Shell station near my work has a REALLY good egg & bacon biscuit. The biscuit was buttery and flaky, crisp bacon that actually looked and tasted like bacon, the egg was cooked just right.

No clue if it comes in frozen or they make it there but it was super good. Better than the various fast food breakfasts around town I've sampled.

 

A bear claw pastry. Can't really mess them up and EVERY gas station has them.

 

Haven't been to a gas station in many years...but I do get filled with gas from Buddhist vegetarian food.

 

I stick with Funyons and Coke.

 

Monster Slim Jims. But when I was in Wisconsin it was hands down landjaegers.

 

Lots of great paninis at the AutoGrilles in Italy while on vacations. Here in the US it usually just soggy egg and sausage biscuits.

 

Used to love Slim Jims. Now I get one about every 10 years or so, gobble it down, and remember why it's been 10 years since the last one.

 

Right there with you. That was my go to item as a kid. "Snap in to a Slim Jim Oooo Yea!"

I'm a sucker for those cheddar Sun chips. In the game of me vs. bag, I win EVERY time. Then for the next 100 miles or so I go into a brooding period that involves mild self-loathing with a hint of road rage.

With pay at the pump everywhere, the only thing that gets me inside is the prospect of a Snickers bar.
