  8. Great work by Anton. I was lucky enough to receive a bunch from him for PIF stuff. I think I've used all but 1. He did an excellent job especially on the pilot holes.
That made my life soooooooo much easier!

  9. I am very very slowly working on this knife
    skyline.JPG

I found it while I was clearing my grandparents house a few months ago, it was originally an 8" chef knife but it had a crack in the blade that went halfway from the edge to the spine. I decided to keep the knife and try to do something with it as it was my grandmothers, so I have turned it into a sort of Kiritsuke thingy, I still need to give the edge a little more curve and reshape the tang so it will slot nicely into one of those lovely handles.
It's my first attempt and doing anything like this and progress has been painfully slow due to various reasons, but I am getting there!!

  13. Ha!
    Warren, I remember that knife!
Good luck. Take it slow and don't overheat that tang while grinding it down. I usually keep a bucket of H2O handy while doing such things.

  14. I just haven't had the time to get on with it, I wish I had a grinder! I will be cutting the tang down with hand tools so doubt I will be going quick enough to overheat anything:D Thanks for the tip though:cool1

I put a new handle on a Tanaka Petty I have, feels well balanced and I really like the look of it on there:)
