  2. Try this, peanut butter salad.

    Peanut butter
    Whole heap of lime
    Whole heap of salt
    Little water
    Onions
    Tomatoes

Will ask my mum to get the exact amounts but that I would spread on bread and gobble it. I don't get the sweet peanut butter either

  3. I must have had a thousand pbj when I was a kid....don't touch the stuff now with one exception. If you give me a bag of trader joes peanut butter filled pretzel thingies....look out, I can eat half a bag before you blink

I am not a fan of peanut butter and have never had a PB&J in my middle-aged life. I think that food combo is simply disgusting and the smell turns my stomach. When I wash utensils that have been used for preparing something with peanut butter, I hold my breath. I do love almond butter though.

I love peanut butter. Mostly crunchy and mostly salty, almost never in a pb and j. If I'm going the sandwich route it's pb and banana all the way.

There isn't much you can do to a peanut that will make me not want to eat it. Can you tell I'm from Alabama?

I'm not wild about Nutella, maybe I'd like it more if it was saltier. It just tastes kind of flat to me.

Why would anyone want to eat spongy tasteless white bread with anything? I like peanut butter toast for breakfast--on honey multigrain bread. Like almond butter, not a fan of Nutella.

  7. Do I loose points if I don't even know what Nutella is?

Ok, the one thing I will say is that I made a peanut butter ice cream for my wife from the Perfect Scoop book and it was amazing. It is still one of my favorite ice creams I make. And with that said, it might be something about the cold. I like chocolate but I cannot eat it warm; I have to freeze it first to really enjoy it. Cold peanut butter is also more acceptable to me. Maybe it is a hot cold thing -- or -- just maybe, peanut butter does just suck.

My wife often gets on my case about not raising my children in the proper peanut butter traditions.

I like to melt peanut butter and pour it over my ice cream.

Thank buddha this is not available here. It might be in a specialist butiques, who knows.

I had a chance to try and after actually tasting it I changed my policy to taste on everything edible.
Is it really that popular up there?

no it's just so standard it's odd to think off places in the world that don't have it

Not popular the way Justin Beiber is popular. But popular the way bread and milk is popular - every grocery store has it. Heck, even some gas stations.

Its not odd James, as long as you remember that North America is a continent, and not THE world...

All this peanut butter talk inspired me to have PBJ on toast for breakfast. It was wonderful. Homemade bread, homemade jam, peanut butter spread on bread and heated up. You've got to watch hot peanut butter, tho. It's in the napalm food group.

Another little peanut butter bit o' trivia--it cures hiccups. Next time you have hiccups eat a tablespoon of peanut butter. Works as well or better than most hiccup cures out there.

that was my point though, things that are so common here, and nowhere to be found elsewhere, I have a follow up as to what what is common elsewhere and not so common here
